Trailer Detention
Trailers are the lifeblood of the transportation industry, and need to keep moving. We have a very modern fleet of 53' air-ride trailers, which are costly to leave standing before or after a transportation move. Our policy on trailer detention is 48 hours free to load at origin, and 48 hours free after arrival at destination, then the standard per diem fee of $50.00 per day.
If a volume shipment cannot be delivered for some reason, Western Logistics prefers to unload it into one our warehouses for a modest handling fee, so the trailer is released for productive work. We maintain full-service warehouses for the purpose of creating a "buffer zone" between producing factories (who normally can't stop production) and receiving project sites (which often are not ready to receive finished goods for installation). The side benefit of this is that the reseller does not have to handle the product until it is at the user location.
